Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in mechanical machine design and mechanical automation systems to join our team.
This is an on-site, full-time role where you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all mechanical engineering projects, designing innovative machinery, and leading a team of 7–10 mechanical design engineers.
The role involves utilizing CAD software, handling mechanical automation systems (including conveyors and Pneumatic systems), conducting research and development, and managing projects to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables..
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in Mechanical Machine Design
- Sound knowledge and experience in Product Development.
- Strong expertise in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Prior experience in the agricultural machinery sector will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 7–10 mechanical design engineers.
- Design and develop mechanical machines and automation solutions for the agricultural sector.
- Design and develop conveyor systems, pneumatic systems, and other mechanical automation components.
- Mandatory experience in Mechanical Automation systems such as Conveyors, Pneumatics, and related automation equipment.
- Create detailed designs using CAD software.
- Oversee end-to-end project management to ensure successful execution.
- Conduct research and development (R&D) to drive innovation in farm mechanization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in Agricultural Machinery or Food Processing Equipment.
- Exposure to machine development, transmission drive systems, sheet metal, plastics, and fabricated structures.
- Experience in Mechanical Automation systems such as Conveyors, Pneumatics, and related automation equipment
- Good Leadership Skills along with Self-driven and willing to take ownership.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, vendor development, and supplier coordination.
- Experience with product validation, testing, and continuous design improvement.
